How to use a temporary email inbox
A short walkthrough of the actual TempMail workflow, from choosing a lifetime to deleting the inbox. You do not need to register or enter a personal email address.

1. Create an inbox with enough time
On the homepage, choose 10 minutes, 1 hour, 24 hours or 3 days. The default is 1 hour. Leave the prefix blank for a random address, or enter a custom prefix. If it is unavailable, choose another.
Allow enough time for the sender to deliver the message and for you to read it. Choosing 10 minutes does not mean every verification email will arrive before the inbox expires.
2. Copy the exact address
Use the copy control next to your generated address. For an example only, imagine the address is demo@example.test; use the real address shown in your own mailbox instead. Avoid retyping it, adding spaces or using an address from a different browser session.
Check the rules of the service you are using. Some websites do not accept temporary addresses, and TempMail cannot change their policy.
3. Receive and read
The inbox checks for new messages automatically, and you can use its refresh control. Open a message to read its text or HTML body. Attachments are not stored. The public website does not provide a sending feature or a developer API.
Do not share the mailbox access link or its credential. This access is separate from your email address; possession of an address is not a secure way to prove account ownership.
4. Finish and destroy
When your task is complete, use Destroy now and confirm. Destruction removes access to the mailbox and its messages. There is no recovery function.
Otherwise, the inbox becomes inaccessible when its selected lifetime ends, and expired records are removed by scheduled cleanup. Use your own long-term address for important accounts or future password resets.
